Coach's Corner: Game vs Mount Forest
Good morning team. Not such a great start to 2012! We gave up 2 easy points last night. Not that any points are easy! A very good example of what we v been preaching to you. Do not take any opponent for granted! Don't be over confident and cocky.Be humble and play our system one shift at a time start to finish on a consistent basis,SHIFT BY SHIFT/PERIOD BY PERIOD/GAME BY GAME. Do not watch and over think standings. As iv told you any team can beat you!! We need to do the things that make us successful each shift/period/game. >>>
Last night hurt our standings. Keys to our system and success *Dig Hard. *Dig Deep. *Attack Hard. *Exsplode/Speed *Head on a swivel. *Quality passes and shots(needs improvement). * Work together and use the things we teach you. We did see some good things last night. * Allysa heads up passes and good back check and edge out to the boards. *Cecelies heads up passing got caught once but had the right idea and successful on others * Makyla nice puck movement good set up on the line and nice calm timed hard point shots. WELL DONE!!! * Kaylee using the body to protect the puck on the rush. *Kaylee/Jayden/Renae Attack on the net into the triangle. Beautiful !!! *Boo's move into the offensive Zone stop to suck down the checker and successfull pass. *Erica / Erin / Mackenzie good positioning in front of the net. *Mackenzies positioning resulting in a goal from Makylas shot. And most impressive is ,these are all things we have been practicing! Keep it up! Better luck next game. We can not start to slide down the lader.
