Come From Behind Win
The girls never gave up today coming from behind to win 3-2 against Waterloo 2. Waterloo scored the first goal less than a minute into the game. We tied it up only a few minutes later on a great rush by Lindsay, followed by a perfect pass from Gracey to Alexis, who buried a one-timer. The second period was great back and forth hockey but the scored stayed the same until early in the third when Waterloo again took the lead.
The score remained 2-1 for Waterloo until Alexis put in a perfect 5-hole shot with only 1:32 left in the game. The girls really dug deep and we could see they wanted the win. A rush late in the game resulted in a shot just under the crossbar from Brooke who gave us the win with only 4.2 seconds left on the clock! Another awesome effort from the whole team. Special kudos go to Leah who made some great saves to keep the game close. Chloe and Brooklyn continue to improve from game to game as they both put in solid efforts. Well done Mustangs!
