A busy weekend on the ice
The team had a busy weekend on the ice, playing the top two teams in the division. On Saturday the girls skated to their first win of the season, with a 3-1 score over the Stoney Creek Sabres who were previously unbeaten. On Sunday the team was unable to come away with a victory, but the girls did manage to score 4 goals against a very tough team from Ancaster. Sydney was the team’s top scorer, with a hat trick in both games. Avery was the Mustangs only other goal scorer. Assists on the weekend series came from Olivia, Revlyn, Mackenzie, Avery, and Sydney. Both Keira and Morgan played excellent in net. The Team will play Ancaster in a rematch next Saturday.
