LLFHL Loop Finals Goes to Game Three!
It was a must win (or tie :) tonight as the Atom rep team hosted the Woolwich Wild in Elora. Game one went Monday and although it was a tightly contested match the Woolwich Wild managed the only marker and took game one 1-0. Game two proved to be just as tight even though both teams found the back of the net. Woolwich struck first as Brubacher lofted a floater towards the home net mid way through the second. Milne got a piece of it but it squirted through and bounced just over the line.

The Mustangs managed to even things up late in the second as Tianna Dietrich went to the net hard and converted the rebound from a Carson Lean shot. The stage was set and the drama ensued as Kara den Hoed drove wide, made the slide move inside and beat the Woolwich keeper low right side leaving only 36sec left on the clock. Time ran out and the Stangs had the much needed W.

It is as it should be. The first and second place teams going to a game three with the birth to the LLFHL "frozen four" as the prize. Priceless! What ever the outcome, these two teams have battled all season long sharing wins, losses, and ties. It has been a great rivalry and we can't wait to see the conclusion on the 17th. Go Mustangs!
