No "Luck of the Irish" Sunday for the Mustangs
To be truthful, the Atom rep squad didn't create any of their own "luck" and the always challenging Woolwich Wild did. They were certainly the better team in Sundays game three and that finishes the 2012/13 LLFHL season for the Atom rep Mustangs. On the positive side the girls had an excellent LLFHL season finishing second during regular play (losing only 1 game) and pushing through the play offs until the very last possible game. Woolwich scored 2 quick ones early in the first, both on quality shots, and the Mustangs had to battle uphill for the rest of the contest.
This proved to be a daunting task on St Paddy's Day. Despite working hard, and never quiting, Woolwich added a third marker late in the game sealing the deal 3-0 Wild. The Stangs are not done just yet sports fans - the have some exhibition action in preparation for the OWHA Provincial Championships in Ottawa Apr 4-7th. Heres hoping this will put a little extra fire in their bellies and fuel them towards a Provincial Medal. They have that potential, they just need to "live the dream"!
