Coach's Corner
Hey team wish I was there with you tonight but here at home sick. Thanks to coach Mike and Rob for covering for me again. Your coaches are on the same page and always communicate and always have a plan. Thanks for their efforts and the girls who volunteered for the goalie clinic tonight. That's what makes our Mustang organization such a success and a place I'm proud to call home. Kathy and I just want to say thanks to everyone for joining us Sat. Enjoyed having you over and seeing the team bonding off the ice( parents and players). Great food and fun.
Proud of your efforts last night. Many players stepping
up into their roles. Lead by an always solid performance by our Senior Assistant
Captain Lauren, our supporting cast rose to the challenge of the beginning of
playoffs. Lauren your effort game in and game out with all your war wounds are
always noticed but may not be commended enough. But never unnoticed and always
appreciated. You wear the letter on your Jersey with pride and is well deserved.
Kayla with a solid effort of pushing and chipping the puck ahead feet moving and
going to the net. Shayna our Captain for her smart hockey play returning to the
ice from a penalty and looking for and receiving the stretch pass from Lauren
resulting in a goal. Just Beautiful !!!! You as well wear your C with pride and
have earned the recognition you deserve. Along side of Lauren , Kaylee and
Mackenzie you will lead our team into battle to win the war. The success of
teams starts with their leaders. And none of the four of you have disappointed.
The vote your team mates made to give each of you a letter to be our leaders has
proven to be the right choices. Just want to say you are all doing a great job
and to say thank's o on behalf of your Coaches team staff and team mates. Take
us all the way Captains !!!
Congratulations to Mackenzie our player of the game for solid fearless shot
blocking as always and the deflection goal in the front of the net. Good
positioning and Good job Mack ! Keep working hard and try find the open ice for
the shot we all know you have. Over all good team effort coming back after time
off. I was concerned about loosing the momentum we had. We showed heart desire
and we all showed up for the win. Solid effort between the pipes by T.J. Good
job !! At times we where soft on the puck. But we seen better passing and use of
all players. A little laps in the third as we stopped our attack and our feet
slowed down. We need to remember to play smart with the lead play the whole game
and be consistent to the last buzzer. Play discipline,play safe unselfish
hockey. Keep it simple ! Keep the puck deep ! Burn down the clock ! Good start
girls but we have a long road ahead ! We are clicking and other teams are taking
notice and make no mistake they will be ready when they play us. We must step it
up more and more the deeper we get each and every game. For this team to be
successful we need Solid goal tending , consistent team effort , discipline
games aggressive attack without unnecessary penalties.( Very good in that
department last night !!!!) We need a solid effort from each
line in order to role lines This will determine how far this team goes. We all
know you got it. But believe me when I say your coaching staff know's you have
more. Keep on bringing it and BELIEVE !! See you Wed a.m. Dig
