First Win!
Today we travelled to St. Clements to play the Twin Centre Hericanes. The girls came out a little flat but managed to keep the score at 0-0 after the 1st period. Twin Centre scored early in the second to take a 1-0 lead and that is the way it stayed until the 3rd period.
Then the Mustangs turned it on with 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd period. Sydney started things off with an unassisted goal with a great top corner shot from the top of the circle. That seemed to spark our girls as we had many chances after that. With less than 2 minutes left in the game Nathalie scored after some great passing out of our zone from Julia and Karla. With less than a minute remaining Twin Centre pulled their goalie to go for the tie. We had another great breakout started by Emma to Sydney. Sydney's shot went off the net right to Keira who banged in the rebound. Great game in net by Meredith who made some great saves to keep us in the game. A great team effort from all.
