Unbeaten Streak
Twin Centre Hericanes travelled to Fergus to meet the Mustangs in our 3rd game of the playoffs. It was a closely played game and ended in a 1-1 tie. That's 4 games in a row without a loss.
The Mustangs started strong and kept the Hericanes pinned in their own zone for much of the first period. The great skating and forechecking finally paid off when Julia kept the puck in at the blueline, passed to Natalie who banged in her own rebound for a 1-0 lead. Then with just 48 seconds left in the period, the Hericanes tied up the game.
During the second period we had our normal mid-game letup (we'll have to work on that girls!). However, Meredith played awesome in net and kept us in the game. We started to press again in the third period but could not score the winner. The game ended in a 1-1 tie to keep us on top (for now). Off to Kitchener tomorrow for a rematch with the Warriors.
