Mustang girls get twisted again....
The Mustang Novice B girls have battled against the first place North Halton Twisters twice so far this year and lost both games by only one goal. Yesterday afternoon, the Mustangs traveled to Milton in hopes of changing this trend. The girls played hard but found it difficult to get the puck past the North Halton goalie and left town with a 4-2 loss. Good try girls, I know we can beat the Twisters next time if we continue to work hard during all practices and games.

Mackenzie Renaud continued to drive the offense for the Mustangs over the past few games. Mackenzie scored 2 goals yesterday during the game and had numerous other scoring opportunities. Avery Diljee had a very strong game as well by fighting hard for the puck and creating a few turnovers in favour of the Mustangs.

The forwards worked hard throughout the game to keep the game close. Revlyn McManus and Mirren Litchfield both had very strong games as they fought hard for the puck and kept battling with the Twisters on every shift. Alwynn Mackie, Morgan robinson, and CJ Pardy had solid games as well with their ability to get into the Twisters zone and go for the puck in the corners.

Bree MacLeod had another great game in net for the Mustangs. She faced numerous breakaways from the top Twister skaters and managed to keep the Mustangs in the game right up until the end. The coaches and fans were very impressed with some of the amazing stops she was able to make.

Amanda Johnston, Victoria Smith, Campbell Lean, and Ella Zwep continued to provide a stable defence for the Mustangs and kept the number of shots against the Mustang's goalie to a low number.

The Mustangs look to get back into the win column as they face off against Guelph today at the Fergus arena at 1PM. Lets go Mustangs!!!
