Lots of Scoring in Fergus!!!
The Mustang Novice girls took on the Guelph Gryphons on Sunday for their first regular season match up of the year between these two team. The Mustangs took control of the game early and managed to score 9 unanswered goals. The girls skated hard throughout the game and earned their second regular season win with a final score of 9-1 for the Mustangs. The girls look to keep their winning streak alive tonight as they take on the Gryphons for a rematch in Guelph.

The first period of the game was close with the Mustangs taking a 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal from Alli Pettifer. Early in the second period, Morgan Robinson scored a nice goal on a pass from Alli out of the corner to make it 2-0. Alli then had another breakaway and scored to make it 3-0. Avery Diljee scored her second goal of the year at 5:29 of the second period. The lone assist on the goal went to Mackenzie Renaud. Mackenzie then went on a tear to score the next 5 goals! Great work Mackenzie on driving the puck to the net and creating scoring chances! Assists on these goals went to Alli and Avery.

It was a great effort by all the girls, lets keep our focus for our rematch with Guelph tonight.
