Great Road Effort
After what seems like a long lay off, the girls got back into a game with a road trip to Waterloo to take on the Ravens.

It was obvious that this game was going to be a tough one from the start considering how hard it was to actually find the rink. Indiana Jones would have had difficulty finding it and getting in as all the doors seem to be locked.

Once the game started Waterloo pressed from the onset and kept attacking. But due to some great work from "Snakes" Robinson in the cage, we managed to keep the game close entering the final minute. Down 2-0 "Groucho" Fogarty feathered a break out pass to Brownie who scored on the Waterloo goal to make it 2-1 with 30 seconds to play. With Snakes on the bench, and the Jumbo Package on the ice, the Mustangs pressed for the equalizer. Just as it seemed our chance was coming with Brownie picking up the pass at centre and starting to break away, she was tripped up by a Waterloo player. Waterloo picked up the loose puck and scored on our empty net to seal the game 3-1.

Great effort by the girls to not give up and keep skating hard. Shout out to Alicia, who had played a strong game positionally on defense. Battling for loose pucks and keeping them in the other teams end at the blue line.

No rest for the girls  as we are back at it Monday in Elora against Cambridge.
