The Pee Wee BB's finally finished their long OWHA playdowns and did it in fine fashion Monday and Tuesday. Monday it was Brampton's turn to visit the stables. This was a wild one as goals came fast. Alyssa Montgomery added to the triple trend as she joined the list of hat trickers. Frances Wolkensperg added a pair and Carson Lean the single. Assists were credited to Patterson (2), Goodwin (2), Dietrich, Beilhartz, and Bender. Final 6-0 Stangs.
Tuesday was a polar opposite as the Tigers of Orangeville played host and came out with all claws swiping. They scored early on a break away and battled hard all game. The ladies found their second gear in the second and got markers from Gunn and DDDDDietrich to scrap out a tough one; 2-1. Helpers from Beilhartz, Montgomery, Goodwin, and Goodfellow. That's it, the playdowns are in the books as the girls won all 6 finishing on top of the region and gaining a birth to the Provincial Championships April 10-12th.
The Brantford tourney is up next and it will be a very competitive weekend. Next week will see the Mustangs play the LLFHL loop finals against the West Huron Wave. Here we go, it just gets better and better!
