For game #3, the Mustangs entered the ring with the hometown Brantford Ice Kats in a battle royal for a spot in the semi's.
Just like any match between the hometown Baby Face and the visiting Heel, this one had its refereeing issues as well. Instead of grabbing a chair, the girls stuck to their game of putting pucks towards the net. After a scoreless first and second, the Mustangs recorded the first pin fall three minutes into the third. Shaking off a Brantford defender, Frannie opened the scoring with a shot along the ice that had eyes for the back of the net.
With the "Bad Guys" up 1-0, it was time for the hometown discount and the parade of Mustang penalties began. Three consecutive penalty calls put the girls on the defensive as they killed power play after power play. With the Brantford goalie on the bench, Grace dropped the leg and piledrived the Ice Kats hopes with an empty net goal with twenty nine seconds left. With the Ice Kats being tossed over the top rope and eliminated, the Mustangs clinched top stop and a semi final game on Sunday.
Game MVP belt went to a very deserving Courtney.
