Slow Start Sinks Stangs
Grand River hit the road to take on the league leading Kitchener Rangers Saturday night.

Similar to their previous games, it was a slow start that put the Mustangs behind early. Three minutes in, it was Kitchener up by two and in complete control. Midway through the first the tables started to turn for the road team as they picked up their level of play and started to take over the game.

Despite outshooting Kitchener 16-9, the Stangs couldn't get on the board until the final seconds. It was Ferg from the point that launched a laser, cannon, seeing eye puck that handcuffed the Ranger tendy cutting the score to 2-1. Unfortunately it was too little too late as time ran down and Kitchener earned the win.

Although outshooting and outworking their opponent in the last 29 minutes of the game, it was a valuable lesson in the need to play a full 32 minutes of hockey each & every night.
