U18B Sweep Provincial Playdowns
Playing four provincial play down games in eight days, the U18B Mustangs won all four to clinch a spot in the Provincial tourney in Brampton on April 14-16.
The Stangs got a taste of how tough playoff hockey can be as their usual high flying offence was slowed down by both Mt Forest and North Halton. With scoring down, goaltenders Paige Houle and Bree MacLeod stepped up big time. Pitching two shutouts each, Paige and Bree carried the Mustangs through the play down gauntlet without surrendering a single goal.
As demonstrated all season, everyone contributes to team success and every game it seems there's another girl playing the part of hero for the U18B Mustangs.
