Game Cancellation Procedures

Decision to cancel a game due to inclement weather is to be made a minimum of 3 hours prior to departure time of the visiting team.
Local League Coaches/Managers:
If you are requesting that a game be cancelled, due to inclement weather (or other extenuating circumstances), contact the coach of the opposing team. If contact is via email, copy LL VP and Game Cancellation/Inclement Weather Admin on the email. If contact is via phone, email LL VP and Game Cancellation/Inclement Weather Admin ASAP.
The Game Cancellation/Inclement Weather Admin will contact the Mustang scheduler, Ref scheduler and time keepers (requesting confirmation of receipt of email). Mustang scheduler will contact opposing scheduler to attempt to reschedule the game if dates are available. It will be the responsibility of your opposing team's coach to ensure that their affected team and scheduler is made aware of the cancellation.
If the opposing team has contacted you, about cancelling a game, immediately notify your team and forward the decision to the LL VP and Game Cancellation/Inclement Weather Admin to notify the Mustang scheduler.
Rep Coaches/Managers:
If you are requesting that a game be cancelled, due to inclement weather (or other extenuating circumstances), contact the coach of the opposing team. If contact is via email, copy Rep VP and Game Cancellation/Inclement Weather Admin on the email. If contact is via phone, email Rep VP and Game Cancellation/Inclement Weather Admin ASAP.
The Game/Cancellation/Inclement Weather Admin will contact the Mustang scheduler, Ref scheduler and time keepers (requesting confirmation of receipt of email). It will be the responsibility of your opposing team's coach to ensure that their affected team and scheduler is made aware of the cancellation. Rescheduling of the game is the responsibility of the coaches using one of their team's existing ice times, notifying the scheduler when the game is rebooked.
The team which requests the cancellation is to notify the Lower Lakes Convenor Sonya Schram ([email protected] 647-234-3772), and inform them of the cancellation (follow Rule 11 of LL Rules and Regulations;)
If an opposing team has contacted you, about cancelling a game, immediately notify your team and forward the decision to the Rep VP and Game Cancellation/Inclement Weather Admin to notify the Mustang scheduler.
