Game One, Round Two a Slug Fest
Not a lot of surprises in this match as the Kitchener Lady Rangers visited Fergus Tuesday night in the round two opener. This was the sixth meeting of the season between the two and a familiar score followed. The home side caught the break early as Frances Wolkensperg batted the loose puck home with helpers to Dietrich and Goodwin. From then on is was rope a dope as the two traded blows and boxed each other out but neither keeper would yield. Final in the opener 1-0 Stangs. Long way to go in this scrap - game two Sunday but first the opening OWHA Provincial play downs start Saturday in Brampton.
