2025-26 U13 Tier 2 Coaching Announcement
We are excited to announce that Matt Whittaker will be the Head Coach for our U13 Tier 2 Mustangs!
Growing up in Fergus, Matt developed a passion for hockey, playing both rep and high school. He brings a wealth of coaching experience, having recently served as Assistant Coach for the U11B Mustangs and U16BB Fusion. Over the past six years, Matt has been an integral part of the Mustangs organization, where he’s supported his two daughters who play rep hockey.
With a genuine love for the game, Matt is dedicated to helping players reach their full potential. In his role as an executive at Eagle’s Flight, he collaborates with leaders to create environments that allow teams to thrive and individuals to excel.
Matt’s coaching philosophy centers on valuing each player while fostering a strong team culture based on hard work and skill development. His mantra, “We’re in it together!”, resonates not just with the players but also with the coaching staff and parents.
Above all, Matt takes pride in being Kristin’s husband and the father of Levi, Brynlee, Emileigh, and Kinsley. When he’s not at the rink, you can find him on the golf course or cooking up a delicious meal on the smoker!
