The Grand River Mustangs are proud to announce Trevor Shody as the U13B Head Coach for the upcoming 2026/27 season!
Trevor brings a wealth of coaching experience and a deep commitment to the Mustangs organization that is truly second to none.
Over the years, Trevor has served as Head Coach at the U13B, U13A, and U15 A, as well as Assistant Coach with the U13 White and U9LL teams, giving him an exceptional understanding of player development and the culture that makes this program so special.
Growing up in Guelph, Trevor developed his game through Guelph Minor Hockey before going on to play Junior C for the Fergus Devils in the Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior Hockey League. He continued his playing career as a forward at the collegiate level with Conestoga College from 2001 to 2002, giving him a firsthand understanding of the journey his players are on.
Trevor's coaching philosophy centres on building a team-first culture where every player understands their role and takes pride in contributing to team success. He is known for building individual relationships with his athletes, creating an environment where players enjoy coming to the rink, feel supported, and grow in confidence both on and off the ice. His structured approach to development — incorporating power skating, skill-specific clinics, and game-review sessions — reflects his genuine dedication to helping every player reach their potential.
Please join us in congratulating Trevor on his new role. We are excited for the leadership, passion, and commitment he brings to our program.
Go Mustangs Go!
