After finishing league play as the regular season champions, the U22 Mustangs had a date with the Kitchener Lady Rangers in a one game winner takes all for the title.
If there were any doubts on how Grand River was going to approach the championship game, they were erased 1 minute in as the Stangs scored early and didn't take their foot off the gas.
Rolling three lines, Grand River consistently controlled the pace of play from start to finish. When Kitchener did have their chances, Mustangs goalie Hannah Wilson was equal to the task shutting the door and securing the 5-0 shutout win.
The U22 Mustangs put on clinic show casing team play in all areas of the ice. From a heavy forecheck to defensive responsibility, each and every player contributed in todays win.
