Bantam Mustangs Excel at Skills Competition
Submitted By Cindy MacCormack on Monday, February 10, 2020
During the recent Sarah Backstrom Tournament in Erie, PA the Bantam Local League Teams also entered the Tournament’s skills competition. After running a mini competition at practice, 11 girls were selected to compete in various skills including Hardest Shot, Fastest Skater, Puck Handling, Shooting Accuracy and Goaltending.

In an arena filled to capacity the Mustang’s did not disappoint. Maddie Cormick won Shooting Accuracy beating teams from Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. Notable mention goes to Adrianna Gemin who placed second in the goaltending competition followed closely Eila Gillies in third. A big thank you goes out to the Team Managers for setting up a great weekend and the members of the League for keeping us onside with the paperwork!
