Mustangs Girls Hockey is pleased to partner with the Riverhawks Lacrosse to grow both associations for the benefit of all members in our community and fundraise for both associations during the Scott Gerrie Memorial Lacrosse Tournament. The roots of girls hockey and youth minor lacrosse run deep in Centre Wellington.
The Riverhawks run an amazing lacrosse program that exposes the entire community, regardless of age or background to “the fastest game on two feet”, and is one of the fastest-growing lacrosse associations in Southern Ontario. The Mustangs deliver a girls hockey program in Fergus, Elora, Mapleton, Drayton, Arthur, and Grand Valley that is committed to getting every girl on the ice.
Regardless of what sport a child plays, we know that it teaches important life lessons, strengthens mental health, and improves physical fitness. There is a natural affinity between hockey and lacrosse, and the Mustangs are proud of all their players who changed sticks in the Spring. Supporting affordable, volunteer-based minor sports for youth is not easy.
