Former Grand River Mustang Player Working in the NHL
Erin Campbell, who played in the Mustangs organization from 2006-2017, was recently hired as a Communications Coordinator with the Ottawa Senators.
Erin’s rookie debut with the Senator’s organization was during the shortened 2021 NHL season as a Laurentian University Intern on the communications team. Following graduation from Laurentian with her degree in Sports Management, Erin worked for the Ottawa Sensplex as a Tournament Coordinator and then for Athletics Canada (the national track & field association) as their E commerce and Marketing Coordinator.
Erin’s welcome return to the Senator’s organization will see her working within the Hockey Operations department as part of the communications team. Her job includes coordinating the delivery of up-to-date team announcements, game summaries and media releases. Her primary role is liaison between the players and the media.
As a Grand River Mustang, Erin played both house league and rep for the organization. Her playing career highlights include winning the Lower Lakes league and OWHA Provincials for Atom B (U-11) in 2010.
Erin would like to thank the Mustangs organization for creating an opportunity for girls to play hockey in Centre Wellington. The eleven years she spent playing for Mustangs, grew her love for the game of hockey and encouraged her to pursue a career in sports.
Congratulations Erin! Your Grand River Mustang family is proud of your accomplishment! #morethanhockey #grmustangstrong
