Atom 2 (8388), 2012-2013, LL (Grand River Mustangs)

The absolute most fun game of the year to watch. Up once again against our sister team...it's always a nail biter and running joke between parents who is going to win. We took the first game and they took the second, so it all came down to the third. Bella started off the scoring with a nice pass from Aly. Next goal came from Aly. Goal number 3 was shot in by Meg, asissted from Erin. Last but not least our final goal from Rachel Smith. That ending the game with a score of 4-0. Nice shutout Cobi:)! Terrific game girls. Best part of the game was to hear ALL the parents from both teams cheering ...

I must say that all of the girls today deserve a HUGE pat on the back. It was a 3-1 loss but not because of lack of effort. Each and everyone of you out there today have shown tremendous improvement from the beginning of the year until now :)! It really shows. No doubt in my mind if we happen to come up against Waterloo in the finals...it will be anyone's game. Special mention goes out Jacobi for her TERRIFIC goal tending.

Well girls you showed us once again how you are able to play as a team. Saturday defeating Kitchener 3-0. Hats off (literally ) to Rachel Smith and her line Jess and Abby. Way to go Cobi with the shutout. Sunday we came up against Milverton. What an exciting game. It ended in a tie but was a very well played game by all. Bella pocketed the goal with a nice pass from Aly. The defence were strong (Jocelyn, Skylar, Erin and Iris ) both games.  Megan you were in there digging and Rachel R played great. Jacobi that was my favorite game of the year to watch...you practically stood on your head ...

Unfortunately the latter part of the title was the last 2 games. Lost to Waterloo on Tuesday January 22nd....but nice breakaway and goal from Megan. Then our game Monday January 28th we were also defeated by our friends (yet rivals lol) the Mustang 1 team. We pulled together and played hard especially the second half..even tried pulling our goalie. This time it was just not quite enough and they won. Our team plays well when we are under pressure....pressure is on girls so let's go em. Fantastic goal Rachel S. Hope you are feeling better Meg...we missed ya.

Today was our third playoff game and our 3rd WIN!!! All the points today go to one line. Aly and Bella both got 2 assists passing the puck to Megan who placed 2 in the net. Way to go girls! Jacobi you were on your toes and played fantastic!!! Waterloo even pulled their in an attempt to tie it up. Victory for us 2-1.
