Coach's Corner: Barrie Tournament
Good Morning Mustangs. Was anyone able to sleep after all that adrenaline after this AWESOME week end?? I know I was dreaming hockey last night. And replayed all those exciting,nail biting moments over and over in my head . This was a major accomplishment for our team.And we are all so VERY PROUD of all of you. As we said you guys are GRINDERS.We DUG DEEP and played with HEART! We fought our way through each game and every battle the hard way. But with hard work and determination we did it. What an exciting and dramatic finish! >>>
Way to go Mackenzie for burying that beautiful shot in the shoot out! And to all our team who collectively contributed to our success every game. Exspecailly Faith that kept us in every game and gave us the chance to win and bring home the Gold. Awesome job Faith!!! It wouldn't have happened without your solid goal tending. Very happy that all our lines are starting to come together contribute points and hard work and enable us to roll our lines.This will be the key to how far we can go.And to think how far we have come in such a short time is just amazing. But we have so much more to learn,hills to climb and accomplishments to make. Remember our last tournament we lost the semi final in the shoot out but this time we got both of our arch rivals ( Cambridge and Woolwich ).And showed them who we really are. OH YA!!!! I know we had a long week of hockey last week. And on top of that a sick dressing room.Way to go you guys for fighting through it and digging deep! Especially Emma that took a hard block of the boot! And Renae who was silently sick all week end! We missed Cassidy this week end and have been missing her as she recovers. And hope to have her back in our line up soon! DIGGING DEEP / PLAYING WITH HEART and GRINDING it out is what our team is built on. As I v told you when you put those helmets on no more nice little girls . You transform into hockey warriors.
