Novice 1 (8383), 2011-2012, LL (Grand River Mustangs)

After our March Break Hiatus, it took the girls a little bit to get back into the groove but we managed to squeak out a 2-1 win against Woolwich Wild 2. A big congratulations to Logan for getting her first goal of the season!!!!!!!!!! The second goal was scored by Erin. The league results are in and we are in SECOND PLACE!!!!!!!!!! Way to go girls! Get ready for the SEMIS!!!!!!!!!!!

Although Chels and I missed the game - we felt like we were there from Denise's play by play texts. What an impressive game; I am sad I missed it!! Matt claims the win was due to the excellent coaching (LOL) while others might argue the girls have come a long way and were on fire today! Regardless the reason, fantastic work girls with such a short bench! Goals were scored by Brianna(4), Megan(1) and Jennie(1). Keep it up girls - 2 more games to go in the playoffs.

Congratulations to the Novice 1 girls, for their 2nd place finish in The Oakville Tournament this past weekend. The girls fought hard through six tough games over 3 days, but fell victim to Ancaster in the gold metal game. Every girl worked extremely hard and played as solid team. Special mention to Beth and Lauren for their first goals of the season!Congratualtion girls - you've all come a long way and we are so proud of you!! We hope you had fun :)

Congratulations Mustangs on being the first team to be victorious against Twin Centres this season!  An amazing 4 goal effort by Brianna Scarrow with assists by Bella Smith and Logan Jefferies.  With a strong deffensive game and solid goal tending we managed to hold Twin Centres to only 3 goals.Great Job Girls - Keep it Up!!!

Congratulations to the Novice 1 Mustangs on their second place finish at the Jason Cripps Memorial Tournament. Our overtime loss in the final game is a true testament of effort, dedication and team work from each and every girl on the team! Be proud of yourselves girls, you have come a long way since the start of the season! Congratulations again!!!!!
