Bantam 2 (8392), 2011-2012, LL (Grand River Mustangs)

The Bantam 2 team won the A pool championships, bringing home the gold! It was an exciting game and each player gave their all, to wrap it up in a 4-1 score against Stratford. The coaches couldn't be prouder of the effort played by each and every one of you. Amazing season girls! Face The Facts....we did it! :)

The Bantam 2 team had some fantastic results at the Oakville Hornets Tournament this weekend! We won 2 games and tied 2 games to put us in first place for our round robin pool. We then went on to the quarter-finals against Oakville, winning 3-0! The girls played a strong game in the semi-finals, but lost 3-1 to Oakville. What an amazing weekend of hockey. You girls played your hearts out, and deserved to go as far as you did. Your fans couldn't be prouder of you and the way you represented the Grand River Mustangs!

The Oakville Hornets Tournament takes place on Friday February 24th - Sunday February 26th.  Below is our team schdule: Friday February 24 - 2:30pm vs Burlington Hobos Friday February 24 - 8:30pm vs Guelph Thunder Saturday February 25 - 12:15pm vs Oakville Predators Saturday February 25 - 5:15 pm - Quarter Finals (if we make it) Sunday February 26 - 10:30 am - Semi Finals Sunday February 26 - 2:30 pm - Finals Should be a great tournament!

We are now confirmed with payment for the Oakville Hornets Tournament on February 24-26. I am still waiting for payment for the tournament fee from a couple of players, please pass your payment along to me ASAP.  The cost is $72 per player. I will post the tournament schedule as soon as I receive it, probably about 2 weeks prior to the tournament date. Go Mustangs!

Please refer to our calendar to see our schedule for the Jason Cripps Tournament taking place in Kitchener December 27-30.  We have 4 games guaranteed. If parents are unable to get their daughter to the games because of work schedules, please let me know and we can try to arrange a ride for them. This should be a fun tournament for the girls!
