Meet Your Coach - Volume 2
Fresh off the success of the inaugural Meet You Coach segment, its time to supply the back story of the newest member of the four horsemen, Richard Alowishus Magnus Philomena Beilhartz.
Richard was born in a small Scandinavian village in the Greater Toronto Area back in the day. It was a simple time, when men were men and hockey pucks were made of wood. He took to hockey early on as he walked to the nearby pond (uphill both ways) to compete in games that would last for days. Not that the players wanted it to last that long, but defense was the order of the day and 0-0 ties would continue until a goal was scored, or the pond melted.
Seen as a defensive mastermind by some, as well as the guy that wouldn't let the games end by others, Richard set out to spread his love of the game. He packed up his genuine Saskatchewan Seal Skin bindings and portaged his way to Centre Wellington, finally settling in the suburbs of Fergus.
Richard wasn't planning on coaching this season as he was to appear on this seasons version of Dancing With the Stars. Fortunately for us he's not much of a dancer and after doing the Bird Dance as his opening number he was quickly tossed to the curb and onto our bench.
Away from the rink Richard maintains a lucrative snowmobile refurbishing business called, "By High Sell Low". Its not uncommon for Richard to travel to the ends of the Earth (or Chatsworth) to rescue some old sled from a farmer's field and bring it back to life. Then take that made over sled and sink it in a lake that's not quite frozen a week later.
Richard is quite smitten with the local officiating our team receives, a love that is contagious throughout the whole bench.
