Provincial Playdown Game #2
After opening the OWHA Provincial Playdowns with a victory against the Canadettes, the Mustangs welcomed the North Halton Twisters to the Corral for their last playoff home game on Sunday.

With the girls focused and ready to work, it didn't take long to get on the board as Mo buried the first Mustangs goal of the game midway through the opening period. Six minutes later Hartzy lit up the board again for the home town team. The 2-0 lead wouldn't last long as the Twisters tested the "magic puck theory" scoring from a weird angle to shave it to a one goal lead.

After killing off back to back penalties, Hartzy once again put Grand River up by two scoring her second of the game. As before, the Twisters came right back scoring on a weird play as Big Country got her twig stuck in the Zamboni doors.

With a timeout called by the Twisters and their goalie on the bench, it set up a tense two minute finale. But as they have done so much this year, the girls held strong until Chaser buried the empty netter with 20 seconds to go to seal the win. Ferg picked up MVP honors for another solid game.
