Season Opener
The 2019 season kicked off Friday night for the Midget BB Mustangs with a home date against the Waterloo Ravens.
The first period was dominated by the home team, limiting the Ravens to a single shot from their own end. Despite the edge in play the score remained zeros heading into the second.
Less then a minute into the second, Aly buried the puck on the PP to give Grand River the 1-0 lead. Unfortunately that was all the offense the Stangs would generate and Waterloo went on to score three times in the middle frame to take a 2 goal lead into the flood. Waterloo would add an empty net goal late in the third to cap of the scoring and take the 4-1 win.
The Mustangs will look to rebound next week with game against the Guelph Gryphons.
