A Rare Thursday Night Tilt
The Atom rep team opened up the second round of LLFHL play offs with a rare Thursday night game as they hosted the Waterloo Ravens in Elora. What a start! The purple heard stormed out of the gate and scored four in the first. Carson Lean caught a case of "dangleitis" as she broke in, made the move and bulged the twine. Next is was her line mate Tianna Dietrich that made the sweet rush and scored on the open far side with a nice shot.
Waterloo got their only tally shortly after Dietrich's goal but it was Erin Pettifer that was the "Johnny on the spot" this game as she buried the Landyn Meadows rebound. Kara den Hoed rounded it out as she bagged in one the old fashioned way - good old hard work and keep banging away until it's in. Assists on the night go to: Tianna Dietrich, Carson Lean, Lindsay Bouwman, Kendra Harkins, and Landyn Meadows. Fantastic start ladies! The challenge Saturday is to play that way for all three periods! Get some rest see you in Waterloo.
