It was a bit of a slow start on Saturday, but there was no lack of effort by everyone! The girls still had some difficulty getting the puck out of their end efficiently, but once again they got better at it as the game went on. The girls made some nice passes in the offensive zone, and Allison potted two goals, with an assist to Cameron. The girls had lots of shots at the net, and I know that their accuracy will soon be as good in a game as it's getting at practice! Well done, Mustangs!!

After that early first goal by Cameron, we spent a large part of the first half of the game struggling to get the puck out of our end and into the Wilmot end. After Abby's end to end rush goal, we seemed to get a bit of momentum, and everyone really picked up her game! We played a really strong third period, and came close to popping in a goal or two in the last few minutes as the forwards and defence played some great back to back shifts! Halen had to make some tough saves and held us in the game, when we were getting scrambly! Great effort girls, some very positive things to build on!
