Stangs go Wild on Woolwich
Sunday completed a solid week of LLFHL action for the Mustangs Atom BB team as they battled the hard working and improving Woolwich Wild. It was a bit of a reversal this time as a scoreless period one was not the best effort to date. The purple Thoroughbreds got galloping in the second as Carolina Rossi smacked one home to honour father Burt's very "special day"! Helpers went to Kate Mabey and Lynsey Goodwin. Scoring continued as Meg Gunn solidified her return and shot one by the keeper from Erin Pettfier and Leah LeCourtois.
The third frame saw Kendra Harkins pound the biscuit home making the tally 3-0 home side. Assits on the third marker to Goodwin and Pettifer. Logan Jeffries and her lady 3 +1 secured the shut out with some solid defensive play and timely saves throughout the contest. Nice four point week ladies!
