The Mustangs continued their road trip moving from the Ravens and into Woolwich to face the first place Wild.
To say the pace of this game was fast was an understatement. Not since the Niagara Tournament have the girls been tested with the speed that Woolwich had, Grand River was equal to the task. Woolwich would take the early 1-0 lead midway through the first but the Mustangs would bounce back to tie it in the second with Sinc getting her first of the year followed by Hartzy with a minute to go, setting the stage for the final period.
The third was back and forth as both teams were equal on the shot clock. But it was the hometown Wild that would get the better of the Stangs this day as they would bury two late and add an empty netter to stay undefeated in the early part of the season.
Despite the loss it was the strongest effort of the season for the young Mustangs team. A young team that will only get stronger and healthier as the season goes on.
