"Oh Ricky Where Art Thou?"
After a brief homestand (one game), the Grand River Mustangs hit the road (again) on a three game road trip. The first stop was a friday night contest versus the Brantford Ice Cats. Brantford won the first matchup back on Mustangs Day and the girls were looking to settle up the series at one apiece.
The pace of the game was far from the Kitchener Ranger match two nights earlier, but it did have it's share of highlights. The first coming from Erin (NHL 06) who dangled her way into Paris on a breakaway midway in the first. With time running out in the opening frame, Erin (NHL 16) redeemed herself with some more sick moves before scoring to give the Stangs the 1-0 lead.
The final two frames took a 1984 vibe with clutching and holding by the truckloads. Despite the "ESPN Classic" on the ice, the Mustangs held the fort with some stingy D and even stingier goaltending as Cobi posted her third shutout in her last four games.
By the way, we found Rick. He was hanging in his truck until we talked him into coming inside.
