Fresh off their series win in the second round of the Lower Lakes playoffs, the Mustangs hosted the Orangeville Tigers in Elora with a chance to clinch first overall in their Provincial Playdown zone.

If there was a possibility of a trap game then it was nowhere to be found. The Mustangs came out with their guns a blazin, firing everything they could at the Orangeville goalie. Three minutes in the first goal of the game came from Marisa who tucked in a rebound to make it 1-0. Less than two minutes later, Jadyn made it 2-0 with a tip off of a shot from the point. After 10 minutes of play, the home team had a 20-2 advantage in shots.

The Ok Corral continued into the second with shots coming from everywhere. Jess scored from the slot early to make the score 3-0 Mustangs. Three minutes later on beautiful drop pass by Frannie, Cece wired the fourth and final goal glove side to bend the twine (take a look at the picture with the article) to make the score 4-0 which would be the final. Shots were 56 - 4 in favor of the home team and a new season record.

After finishing off North York the day before in a very intense series, it would have been easy for the girls to have a bit of a let down game. Instead, they came out focused and as aggressive as ever determined to take the game and first place in the Provincial Playdown that came with it.

Great job ladies.
