Bantam BB Finish off Regular Season With a Win
With the 22nd Annual Orillia Hawks Tournament on deck for the weekend, the Bantam BB Mustangs had some business to take care of prior to heading north. The girls hosted the Waterloo Ravens to cap off the 22 game regular season.
Any concerns of looking past the Ravens were put to rest as soon as the puck dropped, as all three lines came out firing. Consistently getting the puck low and using the forecheck the hometown Stangs controlled the pace of the play. The tenacity paid off early in the second as Kai tipped a point shot hammer from Jaz to get the 1-0 lead. Less then two minutes later the Flintstones made it 2-0, with Chaser and Hal doing all the heavy lifting, Burnzie scored on the doorstep gift. In the third, Grand River would finally finish off the scoring. Picking up the chip pass from Sinc, Kai flew down the left wing. With Dix driving the slot, Kai faked a pass to look off the Waterloo D and goalie burying the puck short side. Logan came up big when called upon to get the shutty and the 3-0 win.
