Aces Trump Mustangs
For only the second time this LLFHL season the Novice B squad suffered a loss, this time at the hands of the Stratford Aces. Overall the girls played quite well and despite several scoring opportunities and sustained offensive pressure they were unable to best the Aces goalie more than one time. Landyn Meadows scored the single marker in the second knotting the game at ones after Stratford opened the scoring in the first. Again an Aces forward took advantage of her chance in the third period, delivering a solid shot that managed to get up and over Milne's pad.
With the Milne on the bench the Stangs kept the puck in the Aces end for the final minutes of the game but were unable to get the equalizer. Good battle ladies, loses are always something to evaluate, learn from and improve. See you Sunday when we host Guelph.
