Winning Streak!
Game 2 of the playoffs was played at home against Kitchener Golden Bears. The girls played another great game and came away with a 2-1 win to make it 3 wins in a row (2 playoff games and the last game of the Cripps tournament).
We started off the scoring with a first period goal from Natalie, with an assist from Karla. It was a great pass and Natalie had an awesome shot from the circle into the top corner. During the second period the girls let up a bit and Kitchener scored mid-way through the frame to tie the score. After this, the defense played well and the forwards were backchecking to keep Kitchener away from Leah, who had another outstanding game in net. The third period was a better one for us and the skating and forechecking paid off as Natalie made a great pass to Caron who was alone in front of the net and tapped the puck in for her third of the season and first game winning goal.
