Holy Moly What A Goalie....
Twin Centre came to town today as we played our second game in two days at home. Our girls came out flying, gobbling up loose pucks like candy and heading on the attack. Fiona scored her first goal of the year 20 seconds in, which turned out to be the game winner. We hit the twine four more times before the game was over, with Shan getting 2, McKenzie and Tessa getting one each for a 5-0 win. Tessa's goal was her first ever as a Mustang and judging by the crowd reaction it was a beauty!
Not reflected in the score was how well Paige played in goal. As we drove to the net, we often forgot to come back and help defensively, giving up breakaways. Paige was "lights out" and played her best game in goal this season for her second straight shutout. We have a well deserved two week break before we play again on Nov 16th.
