Andie's Turn To Shine
Grand River wanted to put their "Flat Earth" experiment from the previous day behind them as they hosted the Oakville Hornets Sunday night.
Unfortunately, the first period ended just like the previous game with the girls trailing 1-0. And, just like the day before, it was Mustangs goaltending that kept this game close. Andie Allinott rose to the occasion to keep the home town in the game. Despite her best efforts, the Hornets stretched their lead to 2-0 by the end of two periods and held off the Mustangs for the remainder of the game to take the win.
Although some line juggling provided a spark, the end result was the same as a tough weekend on the score sheet came to end. With a a couple of practices on tap, Grand River has the opportunity to regroup & prepare for their weekend tilts with Kitchener and Owen Sound.
