Midget BB, 2019-2020, Rep (Grand River Mustangs)

Fresh off securing first place, the Grand River Midget Mustangs had one final play-down game to take care of as they hosted the Mt Forest Rams Sunday night. It wasn't only the last play-down game, but it was also the last OWHA home playoff game for four Mustangs. Kait Hodgkiss, Bella Hadfield, Alexis Kent and Al Montgomery (picture) are all aging out this year as Mustangs. Prior to puck drop the four were celebrated for all they have done for Grand River in their minor hockey careers. 

With eight play-down games already in the books, the midget Mustangs needed a single point in their remaining two games to lock down first place in the district. They would get their first chance at that point against Brampton Friday night.

After clinching a spot in the Provincial Tournament, the Midget Mustangs had one last road trip on the schedule in Brampton to take on the Canadettes.

Finding themselves all alone atop the district standings, the girls from Grand River had a chance to clinch a spot in the Provincial Tournament Monday night as they hosted the Orangeville Tigers.

With a week of snow storms and game cancellations, the Grand River Mustangs finally got back to business with a road trip to Caledon to take on the Coyotes.
