PeeWee 1 (8390), 2012-2013, LL (Grand River Mustangs)

It was an early morning game in Kitchener and the ultra-cold McLaren arena. The combination of time/temperature did not seem to agree with our girls, as we lost 3-2. We still have a shot at first place, but now it depends on how other teams do in our pool.

Twin Centre Hericanes came to Fergus today for another playoff game. The outcome was the same as when we travelled to St. Clements ... a 1-1 tie.

We were back in Fergus for our first home game in almost a month and the girls showed they like the home ice. We came out strong and were victorious over Wilmot for the first time this season.

We travelled to St. Clements for a game against the Hericanes. It was a back and forth game with few scoring chances for either team in the first period. In the 2nd period, the Hericanes took the lead after 3 minutes by pushing in a puck during a goalmouth scramble. We managed to tie the score just 3 minutes later on an unassisted goal from Keira. She shot towards the net from a bad angle and the puck rebounded in off a defenceman's skate. Just goes to show that it is never a bad idea to shoot. We travelled to McLaren arena in Kitchener to face the Warriors for the second time in the playoffs. It was a great game, well played by everyone and we came out on top 4-1.
